Well it is getting to be that time of year again. Let’s try again for a run to the Red River. This year we will start with the date of January 19, 2008. We will meet in the field at the Collin County Courts building. It is north of the college campus on 380.
Once again this is a fun flight. Pilots will be responsible for all of their own expenses. All flight rules will be in effect. The field is 43 miles to the intersection of I-75 and the Red River. If you are a member of the BFA you can use this as an entry in the Long Jump competition. Unlike our event the BFA does have fuel and other restrictions. The Border Run has only one goal….get to Oklahoma.
Please feel free to pass this on to anyone you know that might be interested in the flight. The field is large enough to at least 30 balloons at one time. The more the merrier.
Let me know if you are interested and as we approach the date we will work on the coordination more.
In the event the weather is not favorable for the Run we will use February 16th and March 15th as backup dates.
